New brand designed by Rain

What’s On?
Rain design partners created the brand identity for the new Wexford Opera House, which opens its first opera production with Snegurochka, part of the 57th Wexford Festival Opera on 16 October.A multi-art-form performance centre
The house will be home to year round events and performances from a range of visiting artists ‑ offering different art forms. The identity and marketing strategy was designed to differentiate the Opera House from the famous festival's communications (also by Rain design).

Website and supporting material
We have designed a crisp, clean new website for Wexford Opera House, launched to coincide with the broadcast of the Late Late Show, the first event at the House. The design style supports and develops the brand identity and print communications of the new Opera House. We also designed and wrote brand guidelines for the use of the new Wexford Opera House brand identity. The style is bright, light and engaging ‑ setting the tone for future communications.About the house...
Wexford's €33m new Opera House has been developed on the site of the old Theatre Royal. The acoustic quality of the auditorium will be second to none in Ireland. It is already anticipated to collect numerous architectural awards.Wexford Festival Opera 2007
On song!
Rain created two programmes for the famous festival, shown here is the principal programme for the main operas and events held in Johnstown Castle. The cover art is a commissioned work Luna by Wexford‑born artist Carmel Benson, inspired by the pastoral location.

Ensemble
We also created the identity, launch material, advertising, Friend’s publications and festival brochure Wexford Festival Opera 2007. Fortunately, Rain did not stop play!Cancer Tales Play

Programme for Cancer Tales by Nell Dunn
Improving communications around the ‘Big C’
We created an identity and designed communications for the Irish Premiere of Cancer Tales, a play by Nell Dunn. The play aims to tackle the issues faced by people whose lives are affected by any life limiting illness.
Making a production of it…
We created a logotype and identity for the production which brings across the stories, using images of some of the central characters (cast/production photos by Charlie McGeever).
Cancer Tales is a co‑production of Milford Care Centre, The University of Limerick and The Irish Hospice Foundation.
